Founder, CEO, and Clinical Director
Deisy Cristina Boscan, Ph.D., APC
Dr. Deisy Cristina Boscán is a distinguished bilingual psychologist and psychoanalyst based in La Jolla, California, with over 15 years of experience in pediatric and adult neuropsychology. Originally from Venezuela, she is board-certified in both psychology and psychoanalysis, holding a doctorate from The Fielding Institute and advanced training from the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center.
Dr. Boscán specializes in personalized care for all ages. With children and adolescents, she builds trust, conducts comprehensive assessments, and works closely with families. For adults, she offers executive coaching, consultations, and neuropsychological evaluations tailored to emotional and cognitive challenges.
She has conducted or supervised over 5,000 assessments and served as a research associate at UCSD’s Neuroscience Department. Currently, she supervises psychiatric fellows at UCSD and teaches at the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center. She is also an expert witness for San Diego County Family Court and was Vice-President of the International Psychoanalytic Studies Organization.
As Clinical Director and Founder of both the La Jolla Psychology Center (LJPC) and the La Jolla Child Development Center (LJCDC), Dr. Boscán integrates evidence-based methods including psychoanalytic, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-based therapies. Her holistic, empathetic approach supports emotional resilience and long-term well-being.
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys fitness, gardening, travel, and spending time with loved ones—including her pets.

Neuropsychologist
Brandon Morrison, Psy.D.
Dr. Morrison is a Licensed Psychologist in California with a clinical specialization in Neuropsychology. His primary clinical focus is neuropsychology, where he works with patients to help them understand the relationship between brain health, cognitive performance, and everyday functioning.
Dr. Morrison completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Irvine and graduate training at California Lutheran University. He completed predoctoral clinical rotations with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in their outpatient memory clinic, Cedars-Sinai/UCLA Health in their acute rehabilitation hospital. At the postdoctoral level, Dr. Morrison completed an additional 2-years of speciality training in neuropsychology at Insight Neuropsychology in the assessment of neurodegenerative diseases and La Jolla Psychology Center in the assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders.
Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys Brazilian jiu-jitsu, weightlifting, and football (Go Chargers!)

Postdoctoral Fellow
Maayan Carmi, Psy.D.
Dr. Carmi is a Postdoctoral Fellow at La Jolla Psychology Center and a Registered Psychological Associate with the Board of Psychology (BOP). She provides psychotherapy and psychological evaluations to individuals across the lifespan, utilizing a patient-centered approach that takes into account each person’s unique intersectionality, background, and interpersonal dynamics.

Dr. Carmi’s therapeutic style is tailored to meet the specific needs of her patients, integrating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She works with a broad range of populations, including children, adolescents, adults, military personnel, veterans, and forensic clients, with a strong emphasis on a multicultural perspective.

Specializing in mood disorders, trauma, grief, self-acceptance, and multicultural issues, Dr. Carmi is dedicated to helping individuals navigate challenges, explore self-identity, and improve relationships. She believes that therapy and psychological evaluations are vital tools in guiding individuals toward inner peace and personal growth.

Postdoctoral Fellow
Rosa L. Rodriguez, M.A., Psy.D.
Dr. Rodriguez is a Postdoctoral Fellow at LJPC and a Registered Psychological Associate with the Board of Psychology. She holds both a master’s and doctoral degree in Clinical Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Dr. Rodriguez specializes in disability evaluations for military personnel, psychological testing, and psychotherapy for individuals of all ages. She takes an integrative approach, tailoring her services to each client’s unique history and current concerns. Her experience includes working with veterans, military personnel, first responders, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

Her areas of expertise include trauma, mood disorders, and multicultural/diversity issues. Dr. Rodriguez is dedicated to helping individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves, clarify their values, and build a strong sense of self-worth to lead a purposeful, meaningful life. She also focuses on reducing guilt, shame, and stigma surrounding mental health, particularly within underrepresented groups.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Megan Williamson, M.A.
Ms. Williamson is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at La Jolla Psychology Center, registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). She completed both her Bachelor's and postgraduate degrees at Bond University on the Gold Coast of Australia before relocating to San Diego to earn her Master’s in Counseling Psychology.

Approaching therapy with a mindful, positive, and integrative lens, Ms. Williamson utilizes evidence-based practices tailored to each individual’s specific needs. She is experienced in working with diverse populations, including the LGBTQ community, adults facing substance abuse challenges, and individuals with mood and behavioral disorders. Her therapeutic approach centers on providing an affirmative, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where individuals can feel safe and supported.

Ms. Williamson has a deep passion for working with families, children, and adolescents, as well as offering parenting and couples counseling. She focuses on helping couples and families build stronger foundations for communication by identifying and replacing negative patterns with more supportive interactions. By creating a serene and collaborative atmosphere, she guides patients in setting and achieving goals to overcome life's challenges and find greater peace and joy.

Outside of work, Ms. Williamson enjoys surfing, cooking, practicing yoga and meditation, and making cherished memories with her family and French Bulldog.

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Coco Guerrero, M.A.
Ms. Guerrero is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at La Jolla Psychology Center, registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Southern California Seminary and is pursuing a Psy.D. in Psychology with an emphasis on International and Multicultural issues.

With a background in working with adults facing sexual trauma, intimate partner violence, incarceration, and substance abuse, Ms. Guerrero is dedicated to early intervention and strengthening family relationships. She believes that developing strong social and emotional skills in childhood is key to navigating life’s challenges.

Ms. Guerrero utilizes a patient-centered approach, drawing from techniques such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gestalt therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to promote resilience and personal growth.
As an enrolled member of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, she values connection to nature and enjoys stargazing, walking barefoot on the land, and spending time with her four children and extended family.

Billing and Payroll Administrator
Amber Papke, B.A.
Amber Papke is the Billing and Payroll Administrator, bringing a strong foundation in business operations and financial accuracy. She graduated summa cum laude from Maryville University in 2021 with a BA in Business Administration and minors in biology and accounting. Amber is known for her attention to detail, steady communication style, and commitment to keeping processes running smoothly. Outside of work, she’s a proud bonus mom of five and enjoys gardening, baking sourdough, and embracing her favorite cozy hobbies.

Postdoctoral Fellow
Judy Feezer, Psy.D
Dr. Feezer is a Postdoctoral Fellow at La Jolla Psychology Center and a Registered Psychological Associate with the Board of Psychology. She received her doctoral and master’s degrees in clinical psychology from Palo Alto University and a master’s in education from San Jose University.

She completed internship training at Sharp Mesa Vista and brings more than 10 years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis to her clinical work. Her expertise is in working with children, adolescents, and families, focusing on comprehensive, collaborative assessments for neurodevelopmental conditions like autism spectrum disorder and ADHD, as well as anxiety and depression.
She is committed to delivering evaluations that help children and caregivers obtain the support and services to thrive and grow. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog, knitting, and dancing.

Clinical Assessment Coordinator
Ashlyn Anburaj
Ashlyn Anburaj serves as the Clinical Assessment Coordinator at La Jolla Psychology Center, where she plays an important role in the clinical evaluation process. She works closely with Dr. Boscán and the clinical team to support comprehensive psychological assessments and ensure that patients are guided through the intake and evaluation process.
In her role, Ashlyn manages assessment logistics, prepares and scores standardized tests, handles intake documentation, oversees patient portal systems, and facilitates communication between clinicians and families.
She plays a key role in maintaining structured assessment protocols and ethical documentation standards that support accurate diagnosis and continuity of care. She also helps improve internal systems to boost efficiency in both clinical and administrative processes.
Ashlyn is a fourth-year student at UC San Diego, majoring in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience. She plans to pursue a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology, with a particular interest in neuropsychological assessment and the integration of neuroscience with diagnostic evaluation. She is dedicated to promoting accessible and reliable mental health services in the San Diego community.

Clinical & Administrative Coordinator
Megan Ferrenburg
Megan Ferrenburg serves as the Clinical and Administrative Coordinator at La Jolla Psychology Center, where she oversees new patient intakes and supports the daily clinical and administrative operations of the practice. She works closely with Dr. Boscán and the clinicians to ensure that each individual who reaches out feels welcomed, supported, and guided through the intake process with care.
In addition to coordinating intakes, Megan supervises and supports interns, helps develop internal systems and workflows, and assists with ongoing administrative initiatives that keep the practice running smoothly. She also leads outreach and marketing efforts to strengthen community relationships and expand access to high-quality mental health services throughout San Diego.
A San Diego native, Megan earned her Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego. She is passionate about making mental health care feel accessible, compassionate, and approachable for the community she calls home.
Our interns
At La Jolla Psychology Center, we value creating meaningful opportunities for students to learn and grow within a supportive clinical setting. Our interns play an important role in assisting with patient care, clinic operations, and psychological assessment services while gaining hands-on experience and contributing to our commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.

Intern
Christina Yang
Christina Yang is a third-year Clinical Psychology student at UC San Diego, with plans to pursue a Psy.D. or Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in children and adolescents. As an intern at a private practice psychology clinic, she supports both the clinical and administrative aspects of patient care to help create a smooth, welcoming experience for individuals and families.
​
In her role, she assists with patient intakes by gathering initial information, organizing documentation, and setting up patient portals to facilitate ongoing communication and care coordination. She also helps prepare testing cases and ensures assessment materials are organized for upcoming evaluations. On a daily basis, she answers phone calls, responds to scheduling and general inquiries, and serves as a compassionate first point of contact for patients and caregivers.

Additionally, she contributes to the clinic’s outreach and operations by helping manage the practice website and creating mental health–focused content for the clinic’s Instagram. She also gains valuable clinical exposure by taking detailed notes for Dr. Boscan during select clinical assessment sessions, further developing her understanding of the assessment process and patient-centered care in a professional setting.

Intern
Sara Ur
Sara Ur is a senior at La Jolla High School and serves as an intern at the La Jolla Psychology Center. She intends to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience or Psychology beginning in Fall 2026. Through her internship, she strives to expand her clinical, business, and administrative knowledge within a neuropsychological practice. At LJPC, Sara uses her communication skills to effectively interact with her mentors, clinicians, and patients. Sara assists with patient intakes, including scoring, creating patient portals, scheduling, and handling insurance documentation. These practices allow her to understand the foundational knowledge of a psychology office and its systems of operation. In addition to her administrative and clinical involvement, she creates informational flyers, pamphlets, posters, drafts emails, and creates marketing letters. In these roles, she utilizes her communication skills, dedication, and drive to be an effective contributor to the LJPC team.
