Founder, CEO, and Clinical Director
Deisy Cristina Boscan, Ph.D., APC
Dr. Boscan is the founder, owner, CEO, and Clinical Director of La Jolla Psychology Center (LJPC) and The La Jolla Child Development Center (LJCDC). A native of Venezuela, Dr. Boscan brings a rich international perspective and extensive mental health expertise to San Diego. She holds a doctorate in Psychology from The Fielding Institute in Santa Barbara, California, and is a licensed psychologist with the California Board of Psychology.

Dr. Boscan completed her psychoanalytic training at the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center and is Board certified in psychoanalysis by The American Psychoanalytic Association. Her experience spans pediatric and adult neuropsychology, and she has served as a neuropsychologist staff research associate for the University of California San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine’s Neuroscience Department. Dr. Boscan is also a professor at the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center (SDPC) and supervises psychiatric fellows at the UCSD School of Medicine’s Psychiatry Department. Over the years, she has conducted or supervised more than five thousand child and adult assessments and serves as an expert witness for the Family Court of San Diego County Superior Court.

Known for her gentle approach, Dr. Boscan helps her patients uncover unconscious factors behind their feelings and behaviors, which often lead to feelings of being “stuck.” She works to break free of these limiting patterns, assisting both children and adults in achieving their full potential. For children and adolescents, Dr. Boscan prioritizes building strong, trusting relationships, partnering with family members to navigate developmental stages and provide meaningful support.
For adults, she offers executive coaching and provides psychological and neuropsychological assessments and consultations, tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Boscan enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets. Her passions include exploring the outdoors, fitness, cooking, traveling, and gardening, where she recently made her own sage butter to share with neighbors and friends.

Postdoctoral Fellow
Andrea Temple, M.A., Ph.D.
Dr. Temple is a Postdoctoral Fellow at La Jolla Psychology Center and a Registered Psychological Associate with the Board of Psychology. Initially trained in computer science, Dr. Temple later transitioned to psychology, driven by a passion to understand the human mind. She holds two master’s degrees in Counseling and Clinical Psychology, along with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Neuropsychology.
Dr. Temple has received extensive training across a wide range of settings, including psychiatric hospitals, Catholic Charities, the Parkinson’s Association, and private practice. She is highly skilled in providing neuropsychological evaluations and counseling services to diverse populations, including individuals, couples, families, children, older adults, and military clients from various economic and social backgrounds.
With a perspective shaped by her experience in both computer science and psychology, Dr. Temple believes that the human condition, much like a complex system, can be adjusted—if not entirely fixed—through accurate diagnosis, proper interventions, and the empowerment of skilled individuals. Her work centers on helping others better understand themselves and empowering them to become more effective in managing their own well-being.

Postdoctoral Fellow
Rosa L. Rodriguez, M.A., Psy.D.
Dr. Rodriguez is a Postdoctoral Fellow at LJPC and a Registered Psychological Associate with the Board of Psychology. She holds both a master’s and doctoral degree in Clinical Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Dr. Rodriguez specializes in disability evaluations for military personnel, psychological testing, and psychotherapy for individuals of all ages. She takes an integrative approach, tailoring her services to each client’s unique history and current concerns. Her experience includes working with veterans, military personnel, first responders, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
​
Her areas of expertise include trauma, mood disorders, and multicultural/diversity issues. Dr. Rodriguez is dedicated to helping individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves, clarify their values, and build a strong sense of self-worth to lead a purposeful, meaningful life. She also focuses on reducing guilt, shame, and stigma surrounding mental health, particularly within underrepresented groups.

Postdoctoral Fellow
Brandon Morrison, Psy.D.
Dr. Morrison is a Postdoctoral Fellow at La Jolla Psychology Center and a Registered Psychological Associate with the Board of Psychology. His primary clinical focus is neuropsychology. Here, he works with patients to help them understand the relationship between brain health, cognitive performance, and everyday functioning.

Dr. Morrison completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Irvine and graduate training at California Lutheran University. He completed additional training with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in their outpatient memory clinic, Cedars-Sinai/UCLA Health in their acute rehabilitation hospital, and Insight Neuropsychology, where he specialized in neurodegenerative diseases.

In therapy, Dr. Morrison employs a DBT-informed approach to help patients develop strategies for improving mood and self-regulation.
Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys weightlifting, football, basketball, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Coco Guerrero M.A.
Ms. Guerrero is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at La Jolla Psychology Center, registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Southern California Seminary and is pursuing a Psy.D. in Psychology with an emphasis on International and Multicultural issues.

With a background in working with adults facing sexual trauma, intimate partner violence, incarceration, and substance abuse, Ms. Guerrero is dedicated to early intervention and strengthening family relationships. She believes that developing strong social and emotional skills in childhood is key to navigating life’s challenges.
​
Ms. Guerrero utilizes a patient-centered approach, drawing from techniques such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gestalt therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to promote resilience and personal growth.
As an enrolled member of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, she values connection to nature and enjoys stargazing, walking barefoot on the land, and spending time with her four children and extended family.

Postdoctoral Fellow
Maayan Carmi, Psy.D.
Dr. Carmi is a Postdoctoral Fellow at La Jolla Psychology Center and a Registered Psychological Associate with the Board of Psychology (BOP). She provides psychotherapy and psychological evaluations to individuals across the lifespan, utilizing a patient-centered approach that takes into account each person’s unique intersectionality, background, and interpersonal dynamics.

Dr. Carmi’s therapeutic style is tailored to meet the specific needs of her patients, integrating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She works with a broad range of populations, including children, adolescents, adults, military personnel, veterans, and forensic clients, with a strong emphasis on a multicultural perspective.

Specializing in mood disorders, trauma, grief, self-acceptance, and multicultural issues, Dr. Carmi is dedicated to helping individuals navigate challenges, explore self-identity, and improve relationships. She believes that therapy and psychological evaluations are vital tools in guiding individuals toward inner peace and personal growth.

Assistant to the Clinical Director
Morgan Dropkin
Morgan Dropkin is in her final year of undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, where she is earning a degree in Psychology, along with minors in Human Development Sciences and Sociocultural Anthropology. At La Jolla Psychology Center, she assists the Clinical Director and psychologist, providing both clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient operations.
​
Morgan aspires to pursue a career as a therapist after graduation, driven by a passion for mental health and helping others. In addition to her role at LJPC, she teaches a 1st grade class at a religious school and actively participates in student organizations, including facilitating the Active Minds club and the Well-Being Peer Educator Program.
Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Morgan enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly hiking.

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
​Megan Williamson, M.A.
Ms. Williamson is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at La Jolla Psychology Center, registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). She completed both her Bachelor's and postgraduate degrees at Bond University on the Gold Coast of Australia before relocating to San Diego to earn her Master’s in Counseling Psychology.

Approaching therapy with a mindful, positive, and integrative lens, Ms. Williamson utilizes evidence-based practices tailored to each individual’s specific needs. She is experienced in working with diverse populations, including the LGBTQ community, adults facing substance abuse challenges, and individuals with mood and behavioral disorders. Her therapeutic approach centers on providing an affirmative, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where individuals can feel safe and supported.

Ms. Williamson has a deep passion for working with families, children, and adolescents, as well as offering parenting and couples counseling. She focuses on helping couples and families build stronger foundations for communication by identifying and replacing negative patterns with more supportive interactions. By creating a serene and collaborative atmosphere, she guides patients in setting and achieving goals to overcome life's challenges and find greater peace and joy.

Outside of work, Ms. Williamson enjoys surfing, cooking, practicing yoga and meditation, and making cherished memories with her family and French Bulldog.

Human Resources & Business Compliance Admin
Brittney Reed
Brittney Reed is a skilled Human Resources and Business Compliance professional with 13 years of experience, specializing in HR compliance, DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), and business operations. She is known for aligning HR practices with organizational goals while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards.
​
Brittney has extensive experience in policy development, compliance management, and employee relations, with a strong focus on integrating DEI principles to foster inclusive environments. She has worked with prominent organizations across various industries, contributing to HR strategies that prioritize compliance, employee engagement, and sustainable development.
​
In addition to her HR expertise, Brittney co-founded Just Remember, a nonprofit in San Diego dedicated to supporting families grieving the loss of a child, offering scholarships to underrepresented athletes, and collaborating with local law enforcement to address secondary trauma.

Brittney’s dedication to both compliance and community service reflects her holistic approach to fostering positive organizational culture and supporting meaningful social impact.

Registered Behavior Therapist
Katarina Maric
Katarina Maric is a dedicated Registered Behavior Therapist with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Education from Chapman University. She specializes in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, working closely with children on the autis spectrum to support their development and well-being. Trained in Mental Health First Aid and Crisis Prevention, Katarina brings a compassionate and evidence-based approach to her work.
​
At the center, she assists with Social and Emotional/Autism Spectrum Disorder assessments and evaluations and provides play therapy as needed.
Outside of water, Katarina enjoys staying active through track and field, hiking, skiing, and cooking.

Administrative Assistant/Intake Coordinator
Kari Perry, M.S.
With over 20 years of experience supporting nonprofit healthcare and education organizations, Ms. Perry is an integral part of the team, bringing both administrative proficiency and a deep commitment to client care.
In her role as Administrative Assistant and Intake Coordinator, she expertly manages patient intake processes, schedules, and assists with essential administrative tasks to ensure the center operates smoothly and efficiently. Ms. Perry is passionate about delivering exceptional service and contributing to the positive experience of both patients, families and staff.
Outside of work, she values quality time with her husband of over 40 years and their two daughters, who continue to be her greatest source of joy and inspiration.

Bookkeeper
Celia Martinez
Ms. Martinez is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of administrative experience and more than two decades in customer service. Her expertise includes financial record-keeping, invoicing, and maintaining accurate and organized accounts.
As a bilingual communicator fluent in English and Spanish, she effectively supports diverse clients and ensures seamless operations.

Passionate about fostering efficiency and accuracy in financial management, Ms. Martinez plays a key role in maintaining the center’s financial integrity.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, taking nature walks, and reading.
